The Z9157 is a head-mountable night vision camera designed for blokes who need a clearer view when the night gets properly dark. Whether you are checking the paddock, setting up camp, moving around the shed, watching wildlife or recording low-light footage outdoors, it gives you a practical way to see and capture what is happening after dark.
Unlike a basic handheld viewer, the Z9157 can be used both as a handheld night vision device and as a helmet-mounted camera when paired with a compatible helmet mount adapter. This makes it useful for hands-free recording when you need to keep moving or keep both hands available. Please note: the manual states that a helmet mount adapter is required, and that a tripod thread mount is not available for this product.
The Z9157 supports daylight, low-light and infrared modes. In daylight mode, it can be used for normal observation. In low-light mode, it can provide full-colour images when some ambient light is available. In total darkness, the infrared mode supports IR Level 1–3 for black-and-white night vision. The device also includes manual focus, so you can adjust the lens for a clearer image depending on distance and conditions.
For recording, the Z9157 supports video resolution up to 4K and photo resolution up to 40MP. It also features 3x optical zoom, 8x digital zoom, a 25mm objective lens, F1.0 aperture, 13° field of view, and a built-in 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with 466 × 466 resolution. The manual lists night viewing distance up to 600m / 1970ft and daylight viewing distance from 50cm to infinity.
The built-in tactical light gives you extra flexibility outdoors. It supports constant-on lighting and burst / strobe mode, making it useful for low-light setup, signalling and emergency situations. The device also includes a microphone, playback mode, loop recording, screen brightness adjustment, screen protection, auto shutdown, Type-C connection and TF/MicroSD card support up to 512GB.
The Z9157 uses a replaceable and rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery rated at 3500mAh. It also includes practical accessories in the box: Z9157 device/camera, user manual, Type-C charging cable, neck strap and cleaning cloth.
